He sat cross legged, his hands sitting on his knees patiently. I watched him as he closed the booklet and set it, and his instrument, to the side under a torn blanket. He smiled awkwardly, "I am much proud too! I can probably write you a little song!" I smiled and fixed it for him, "You're getting so good I'm so proud!" He blushed, and pulled his cap down over his eyes. He finished playing, and I clapped wildly, letting out a joyous hoot in his name. I painted a little guitar and some music notes, which weren't exactly tribal, but once I showed him in a mirror, he loved them.
There were a few tattoo's in the way, but he allowed me to practice on a small area in the center he left as a blank canvas. I'd taught him how to play a ukelele, and he taught me how to do tribal paintings. I smiled at him as he strummed, looking at the music notes a little here and there. It was our little safe spot, and even had food and a small mattress in case we got into a jam and had to flee home. We had blankets over the door and windows, and had one lantern in each corner. We always had to practice outside of camp, seeing as Joshua would lose his shit, and the other tribals are snitches. I even got him a music book, but he wasn't too good at reading English, so I didn't mind translating and helping him. As soon as he saw his new instrument, he instantly fell in love, and practically melted into it. He wanted a guitar, but I couldn't sneak that in as easily, so I got him this instead.
I let him paint it with tribal paints and liquids, to have it better suit his needs. I laughed a little, "Move your finger just a tad." To continue publishing, please remove it or upload a different image.
